Problems with the chat room?

Why do I see the symbol instead of the chat room?

This error indicates that you have a Java problem. You may want to:

1. Download the latest FREE version of Sun's Java© for Windows© >> Click here

OR

2. Enable Java in Your Browser

For Internet Explorer 3.xx

Choose View from the Menu bar, then Options.
Select the Security tab
Check the boxes called Enable Java programs and Run ActiveX scripts then OK

For Internet Explorer 4, 5 and 6

Choose Tools from the Menu bar, then Internet options.
Select the Security tab then the Custom Level button
In the dialogue box scroll down to the Scripting section, Active Scripting sub-section and select Enable (click in the radio button)
Then in the dialogue box scroll down to the Microsoft VMsection, Java Permissions and select either High security, Medium Security or Low Security
Select OK in each dialogue box.

For Netscape Navigator 3.xx

Choose Options from the menu bar, then Network preferences
Select the Languages tab
Check the boxes called Enable Java and Enable JavaScript then OK

For Netscape Navigator 4 and 6

Choose Edit from the menu bar, then Preferences
Select Category: Advanced
Check the boxes called Enable Java and Enable JavaScript then OK
